Christmas Eve 2011
We have started a tradition in our little family where we stay home for Christmas. This way the kids can be in their own beds for Christmas (plus it is just TOO hard to load everything and everyone up for Christmas!) and we can start our own family traditions.
Marcus and I brined and made the turkey from Alton Brown's Good Eats
Jacob "cheesing" it up at our church's Christmas Eve service. There is no childcare for this service, so we were already a little stressed about how the kid's would behave. The kids were doing fine and then our church's lead pastor (who shall we say is the type to talk about how kids used to behave so well back in the day....) sat down right in front of us. Aaaaagghhhh. Marcus and I quickly exchanged panicked looks and waited for disaster to strike. The EXTRA PRESSURE. Oh MY!! But lo and behold, a Christmas Miracle occurred and the kids behaved for the entire hour long service. Thank you Jesus!! :)
